The latest version of FeatureFinder is now out and ready to download. So, what’s new? First and foremost, we now offer a full suite of plot tools:
> Click-and-drag to move a data plot;
> Hold down “Shift” and then click-and-drag to make a “zoom box”;
> Use the arrow keys to nudge your signal in every direction;
> Hold down “Shift” and use the arrow keys to slide your plot halfway across the screen—perfect for reviewing signals at high zoom levels;
And, as before:
> Double-click to zoom in;
> CTRL-click (Mac) or right-click (PC) to reset the zoom level.
You’ll also notice that changes to the plot display are now animated. We find this makes it easier to keep track of where you are in the signal when changing views.
There have also been some behind-the-scenes developments, minor revisions, and bug fixes. In particular, the notch filters in versions up to and including 2.3.0 were applied with an order twice what was specified. For example, if you specified 4th order, it would apply 8th order. We apologize for this oversight and have fixed it in the newest version.
Finally, you can now “clone” a profile. This means that if you want to create a copy of a particular profile—the files, the filter settings, everything!—you can just load the profile and click “–> Clone this profile!” in the “Profile” panel’s drop-down menu. You’ll then be able to use the new profile to experiment with different settings, while still retaining your original profile as-is.
As always, please get in touch if you have any questions!
